EVA Mountless Dental Implant

GDT EVA Implant is a mountless internal hex dental implant designed to deliver strong fixation and reliable performance across a wide range of clinical protocols. It features a cylindrical-conical body with progressive threading that creates an effective bone-condensing effect, supporting stability even in challenging bone quality. The implant incorporates a reverse-tapered neck with platform switching to help preserve crestal bone and soft tissue volumes, contributing to long-term stability and natural aesthetics. EVA is available with an Internal Hexagon 2.42 mm connection, and also in a slim Internal Hex connection for diameters Ø3.0 mm and Ø3.3 mm. The mountless design supports quick driver insertion with a friction fit for secure pick-up from the sterile package and controlled transfer to the implantation site, allowing straightforward driver removal after placement.

Implant Features

Connection

EVA Implant features an Internal Hexagon 2.42mm connection with one universal platform for most diameters, supporting consistent restorative workflows and platform switching. This design helps preserve crestal bone levels and soft tissue volume, contributing to long-term stability and improved natural aesthetics. Slim Internal Hex 2.0mm connection is also available for Ø3.0mm and Ø3.3mm diameters, addressing cases that require a narrower implant profile.

Cylindrical–Conical Shape

The EVA cylindrical-conical implant body is designed to deliver strong fixation and a pronounced bone-condensing effect. This geometry improves implant stability and supports reliable performance even in challenging bone quality scenarios.

GDT EVA implant double progressive threads for improved load distribution and stability

Double Progressive Threads

EVA Implant incorporates double progressive threads designed to improve load distribution within the cortical bone. Deeper threads toward the apical region facilitate bone condensation in the cancellous layer, increasing overall implant stability and supporting long-term durability.

RBM Surface Treatment

RBM stands for Resorbable Blast Media, a surface treatment that creates a rough, hydrophilic implant surface while avoiding residual embedded blast particles or debris. The process blasts the implant with carefully selected hardened particles based on Hydroxyapatite and calcium phosphate formulations, then applies a controlled passivation step that dissolves the blasting media from the surface. By consistently achieving a surface roughness of Ra 1.2 to 1.5, RBM produces a rougher surface compared to traditional acid etching methods. This increased roughness expands surface area and supports stronger implant to bone contact, improving biological fixation and retention characteristics for predictable osseointegration.

Self-Tapping System

The EVA Implant self-tapping system includes increased thread depth and cutting edges with self-drilling capability. This design supports efficient insertion, improves load distribution under functional forces, and contributes to stable fixation throughout healing and loading phases.

Aggressive Apical Apex

EVA Implant aggressive apical apex features expanding threads designed to improve bone condensing and provide a secure fit at the apical region. This design minimizes the risk of micromotion, supports optimal implant stability, and contributes to reliable osseointegration and long-term clinical success.

FAQs

What does “mountless” mean in GDT EVA dental implant system?

GDT EVA Mountless Implant is supplied without a traditional carrier mount. Instead, it is designed for direct pick-up using a friction-fit driver, allowing secure transfer from the sterile package to the implantation site. This approach simplifies handling, reduces components, and supports a more streamlined surgical workflow.
Stability is achieved through a combination of a cylindrical–conical body, double progressive threads, and an aggressive apical apex. Together, these features create a strong bone-condensing effect, improve load distribution, and minimize micromotion, supporting reliable fixation even in compromised bone conditions.
The EVA Implant features an Internal Hexagon 2.42mm connection for most diameters and is also available with a slim Internal Hex 2.0mm connection for Ø3.0mm and Ø3.3mm diameters. This allows clinicians to select the appropriate connection based on anatomical requirements and restorative planning.
The RBM surface treatment creates a rough and hydrophilic implant surface without residual blasting particles. This increases implant-to-bone contact and supports strong biological fixation, promoting predictable osseointegration and long-term dental implant stability.
