Material and Structure
GDT Nylon Suture is made from nylon Polyamide 6/6.6 and is supplied as a blue non absorbable monofilament suture. Over time, the material becomes encapsulated by connective tissue, making it suitable for procedures where long term wound support is required.
Handling and Tissue Passage
The smooth surface of the monofilament allows the suture to pass through tissue with minimal drag, supporting easier placement and simpler stitch removal. Its flexible structure and good elasticity help provide controlled handling and secure knotting during closure.
Clinical Benefits
As a monofilament suture, GDT Nylon Suture reduces the tendency for bacterial plaque accumulation compared with braided materials. It also shows minimal tissue reactivity, making it a practical option for procedures that require clean wound closure and dependable performance. It is especially suitable for skin closure applications.
Available Sizes and Sterilization
GDT Nylon Suture is available in USP sizes 3 0, 4 0, and 5 0, each supplied with a 3/8 circle 20 mm reverse cutting needle and 75 cm suture length. The product is sterilized with EO ethylene oxide.
