GDT Hemosponge Hemostatic Non-Sterile Sponge 99.7% Pure is an absorbable collagen sponge prepared from specially treated material to help control bleeding and support wound healing. Its porous structure helps stop bleeding, absorb wound secretions, and create favorable conditions for tissue recovery.
The sponge is non-toxic, hypoallergenic, and biocompatible, with no immune provoking effect. It offers high fluid absorption, up to 40 times its weight, and is fully absorbed within about 3 weeks. It may also be used in combination with antibiotics, thrombin, or chemotherapeutic agents without reducing its hemostatic effect.
