GDT Hemosponge Hemostatic Sterile Sponge 100% Pure is a highly purified absorbable collagen matrix made from 100% bovine Type I collagen. It is designed to create an occlusive or semi-occlusive wound cover that supports a clean, moist healing environment and helps improve post-surgical site management in dentistry.
Material and Healing Support
The sponge is composed of a bioabsorbable collagen protein matrix that naturally degrades as healing progresses without leaving toxic or pyrogenic residue. Its structure helps support blood clot stabilization, promotes favorable healing conditions, and helps reduce soft tissue invasion into the extraction socket.
Hemostatic and Regenerative Benefits
GDT Hemosponge 100% Pure is designed to support bleeding control and preserve the integrity of the extraction site. In post extraction protocols, it may help minimize alveolar ridge atrophy and maintain site structure during healing. It can also be used as a temporary membrane like scaffold in guided bone regeneration by placing it between the graft material and the tissue to help reduce graft migration.
